Open Beta Guide – MARVEL Fighting Souls
How to join the MARVEL Fighting Souls Open Beta July 24–26, 2026 on PS5 and PC. Download steps, playable content, and beta tips.
The MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls global Open Beta runs July 24–26, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and PC, giving every player a free opportunity to experience the full 4v4 tag system before the August 6 launch. Unlike the December 2025 Closed Beta that required PS5 registration, this Open Beta requires no invitation, pre-order, or sign-up — simply download and play.
Arc System Works confirmed Blade as a newly playable character during the Open Beta, alongside the complete 20-character launch roster. Based on the December Closed Beta schedule, expect the test to begin at 12:00 AM PT on July 24 and run for approximately 72 hours until 12:00 AM PT on July 26.
How to Download on PS5
Ensure you are signed into your PlayStation Network account on your PS5. Open the PlayStation Store and search for "MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls Open Beta." Select the beta client and begin downloading — the file size will be displayed on the store page.
Launch the beta client during the test period (July 24–26). Online play requires PS Plus membership on PlayStation platforms. Training mode and tutorials are available for learning controls before jumping into online matches.
How to Download on PC
PC players can download the Open Beta through Steam or Epic Games Store depending on which platform Arc System Works makes the beta available on. Search for "MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls Open Beta" in your store library during the test window.
Cross-platform play between PS5 and PC during the Open Beta has not been officially confirmed, though it is expected given full cross-play at launch. Check official announcements before the beta begins for confirmation.
What to Test During the Beta
Use the beta to find your preferred point character and practice Assemble Rush combo extensions in training mode. Test the three recommended team builds from our team builds guide to identify your preferred playstyle archetype before committing to a launch edition purchase.
Pay attention to Blade's kit as a new addition — his vampire hunter tools may shift tier list placements. Document any balance concerns through official feedback channels, as Arc System Works has demonstrated responsive patching based on beta community input.
