This tier list reflects Open Beta Vibranium+ usage (July 24–26, 2026) from a test that peaked at 33,233 Steam concurrents, plus community lab notes ahead of the August 6 launch. Blade and Magik tied for overall pick rate: Magik led as Leader (point), while Blade led Assist usage and sat in the top four of both roles.
Team synergy still outranks solo tier tags. Iron Man and Magneto remain premium assists. Hulk, Carnage, Deadpool, and Loki were locked in the beta and stay provisional until launch-week labs — revisit placements after CEO 2026 (August 14–16).
S Tier — Open Beta Standouts
Blade leads post-beta discussions with five-star ease of use, Marked for Death damage amplification, and devastating corner loops when all four team members are active. Magik matches Blade in ranked win rates with portal mix-ups and Soulsword rushdown that reward lab time. Magneto's car-throwing projectiles and magnetic control define oppressive full-screen neutral.
Doctor Doom, Spider-Man, and Wolverine remain S-tier contenders from earlier beta testing. Doctor Doom's shield assist and laser coverage integrate with every team archetype. Spider-Man benefits from aerial ground-assist calling, while Wolverine's Berserker Rage provides consistent pressure.
A Tier — Strong All-Rounders
Iron Man and Captain America anchor many top teams with reliable beam assists and safe point presence. Black Panther (Shuri) outperformed expectations as a point character in Open Beta ranked stats, leveraging Wakandan weaponry and Bast's Blessing dashes. Star-Lord and Ghost Rider drop slightly from pre-beta S-tier but remain excellent in zoning control compositions.
Storm provides weather control for assist-heavy teams. Hulk, Carnage, Deadpool, and Loki are projected A-B tier based on kit reveals but lack Open Beta data — expect significant movement once all 20 characters are playable at launch.
B and C Tier — Situational and Untested
Ms. Marvel, Peni Parker, Danger, and Green Goblin occupy B-C tier with high skill ceilings. Ms. Marvel's grab pressure works in specific matchups but struggles against mobile characters. Green Goblin was playable in the Open Beta but ranked lower in usage stats than expected.
