MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls unlocks Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. EDT (8:00 a.m. PDT / 3:00 p.m. UTC) on PlayStation 5 and PC. Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand unlock at local midnight Friday, August 7. This page is your day-one checklist for storefronts, free cosmetics, modes, and the first major tournament.
Pre-load if your storefront offers it, finish shader warm-up on PC before your first match, and claim the PlayStation Plus Pack as soon as it appears so it does not slip your mind until 2027.

Day-One Checklist
1) Unlock or install the edition you purchased (Standard, Digital Deluxe, or Ultimate). 2) Confirm pre-order lobby items (Infinity Gauntlet, Baby Groot, Cosmic Surfboard) on your account. 3) PS Plus members: redeem the PlayStation Plus Pack for five leader avatars and 20 result poses. 4) Run Startup Battle or Training, then sample All-Star Arena or offline Arcadia Rumble before Ranked.
5) PC players: enable shader warm-up, use exclusive fullscreen, disable Discord/Steam recording overlays, and apply any day-one patch notes Arc System Works publishes for lag, rollback, CPU, and anti-cheat. 6) Build a four-character squad in our Team Builder — Blade or Magik remain strong Open Beta anchors while Hulk, Carnage, Deadpool, and Loki join the live roster.
Competitive Spotlight — CEO 2026
The first official tournament lands at CEO 2026 in Orlando, Florida, August 14–16 — just over a week after launch. Entrant counts already exceeded 1,050, placing MARVEL Tōkon second only to Street Fighter 6 among the event's fighters before release day.

Post-Launch Calendar
September 1, 2026: free Wolverine Battle Reborn costume for all players (Insomniac crossover). Fall 2026: Phoenix Cyclops arrives as the first of four Year 1 DLC characters (included with Digital Deluxe / Ultimate). PS Plus Pack remains claimable through August 6, 2027.
